Laurie Clark's Story

Laurie saved her money to purchase her first camera in High School (in the 70's).
She was the yearbook photographer throughout high school.
From then on she has rarely been without a camera in hand.
She was also in competitive gymnastics, basketball and track for many years.
Being first an athlete and then (during and after college) a coach,
sports photography is her favorite type of photography.
She prefers the candid, action shots that best capture the emotion behind the memory.

She has coached children of varying ages, has four children,
and loves the animation and honesty of children.
These are some of the reasons she loves to photograph children.
Being a parent, she can truly appreciate how quickly they grow and change and
how important it is to capture their personalities through photographs
.

She was literally blind for two years but her sight miraculously returned.
She had many challenges being blind but learned first hand that challenges will
strengthen you - if you allow it, and that it is sad how people talk and avoid you when you are different.
As a result, she has a special place in her heart for special needs (all special
needs) children and loves to photograph them.
Parents tell her, ...we've never been able to get a good picture of him / her only to
receive photographs that truly illustrate their child's personality and beauty.

Truthfully she loves to photograph anyone and anything, the above mentioned are just her favorites.

She is truly passionate about her work and her husband's endless encouragement is the reason for her success.
